Breathtaking Coastline
In 1956, the Gower Peninsula was declared the United Kingdom’s first Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty – an accolade for which the area remains justly proud.
The reasons may well have been because Gower offers so many different landscapes within a small geographical area.
The South of Gower offers rugged limestone coast with deep inlets and caves along it’s length, intercut with stunning sandy beaches.
North Gower is a paradise for lovers of wildlife, with pristine marshes and reed beds lining the southern side of the estuary of the River Loughor
Inland lies the higher ground of Rhossili Down, Llanmadoc Hill and Cefn Bryn, each of which offers stunning views of the Devon and Carmarthenshire coasts.
